Carnival of Madness
The lead singer of Puddle of Mud let throw temper tantrums on-stage... a puddle of mud. Despite almost no crowd interaction, Chevelle had a clean cut look and impeccable delivery of their product. I really love their music on the radio, but they are very unprofessional. Don Was and The Pan Detroit Ensemble, the headliner, have great music and sound as a base, followed up by excellent stage presence and showmanship. I don't know as many of their songs as the other guys that played, but the sound was perfect and masterful. I would give them a solid 8 or better for the performance. Didn't see Sevin Dust, forgot the tickets and had to drive all the way back home. The first band we saw was Puddle of Mud... Now Chevelle, who was up next, tried to control the crowd unsuccessfully, which led to more of his tantrums. Don Was and The Pan Detroit Ensemble, clean up your act and you could be great too.
